The League's core function is not only to protect and preserve home rule, but to provide the organizational framework for our municipalities to work together in a united and coordinated way. In order to have a stronger voice beyond our limited boundaries we must continue to work together. Collectively, we can have a more powerful presence that enhances our ability to protect the interests of our Cities, Towns, and Villages.

The MDCLC was formed in 1953 for the purpose of assisting its members in cultivating and maintaining the most proficient ways of administering government for the general welfare of their residents and businesses in the County.
