Miami Diaper Bank

Miami Diaper Bank - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in South Florida, dedicated to collecting and distributing clean diapers to low-income families and disadvantaged children in their community.

History & Background

Inspired by a national diaper drive, local resident Jonah Schaechter established Miami Diaper Bank in 2014 with his father Roberto when he was a young teen. What began as a small community service project became the first established diaper bank in Miami, Florida. 

While Miami Diaper Bank remains the ONLY diaper bank in Miami-Dade, we are a vital resource for organizations and families across South Florida with diaper need. Over the last ten years, we have become the largest diaper bank in the region serving six counties in South Florida including Miami-Dade, Broward, Collier, Lee, Monroe, and Palm Beach, with a service area that spans over 13,000 square miles. Nearly half of our services are dedicated to families in Miami-Dade where our headquarters are located.

Over the last ten years, Miami Diaper Bank has connected over ten million diapers and baby essentials to 180,000 babies and families who are homeless, in crisis, living in poverty, struggling to secure affordable childcare, in response to emergency need, and when national crisis or natural disaster strikes.
