South Florida Progress Foundation/Leadership Miami

Since the 1960’s, the South Florida Progress Foundation (SFPF), nonprofit arm of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, has funded projects for improving race relations, increasing primary educational achievement and secondary education attainment, addressing the problem of homelessness, developing future leaders in South Florida, and creating intervention programs for at-risk youth. 

This year, the funds raised will be dedicated to supporting the Leadership Miami® program, a crucial initiative that fosters leadership development in the community. Your donations will directly benefit Leadership Miami by providing scholarship support for participants in financial need, seed funding for community projects, and helping build a sustainable community by strengthening our nonprofit partnerships across South Florida.

Through SFPF, we have given scholarships to hundreds of Leadership Miami® fellows who would not have had the opportunity to participate in this signature leadership development program that has produced the likes of Florida Lt. Gov. Jeanette Núñez; Carlos Migoya, CEO Jackson Health; Art Noriega, City of Miami Manager; Jared Davis, Co-Managing Shareholder Greenberg Traurig, P.A.; Kim Griffin Hunter, Managing Partner Deloitte; Michael Lewis, Publisher Miami Today; Christine Barney, CEO RBB; Carlos Fernandez Guzman, CEO Pacific National Bank and scores of many other leaders at the helm of both private and public institutions. Additionally, SFPF helped produce the One Community One Goal initiative that has formed the blueprint for economic development in key industries since the 1990s. Today through the generous contributions of supporters like yourself, the foundation supports much of the Chamber’s work on diversity and inclusion, helping Black-owned and minority-owned small businesses prosper.
