IMAGO POR LAS ARTES envisions a world where people of all ages and backgrounds can freely access and enjoy the transformational power of art.

Hundreds of children have recently been affected by the lack of quantity, variety, and quality of art and literature programs within the formal education system. The lack of exposure to art and culture has led to a decrease in opportunities to develop crucial skills that can only be learned through such experiences. These skills include comprehending, forming critical judgments, taking initiative, respecting diversity, being creative, coexisting within society, and communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Unfortunately, such experiences can often be expensive, making them more challenging for many individuals to access.

We are deeply committed to filling this gap by providing the community with accessible, high-quality, diverse art and cultural experiences.

Addressing the Issue

1. Comprehensive Programs:

   • Art Workshops: We offer various art workshops that cover various mediums and techniques, allowing children to explore and develop their creativity.
   • Literature Sessions: Our literature programs introduce children to classic and contemporary works, fostering a love for reading and critical thinking.

2. Skill Development:

   • Critical Judgments: Through guided discussions and critiques, we help children learn to form and express their own opinions about different artworks and literary pieces.
   • Initiative and Creativity: Our programs encourage children to take initiative in their projects, think outside the box, and create original works.

3. Respect for Diversity:

   • Cultural Exposure: By exposing children to art and literature from various cultures, we teach them to appreciate and respect diversity.

Cientos de niños se han visto recientemente afectados por la falta de cantidad, variedad y calidad de programas artísticos y literarios dentro del sistema educativo formal. La falta de exposición al arte y la cultura ha llevado a una disminución de oportunidades para desarrollar habilidades cruciales que solo pueden aprenderse a través de tales experiencias. Estas habilidades incluyen la capacidad de comprender, formar juicios críticos, tomar la iniciativa, respetar la diversidad, ser creativo, convivir en sociedad y comunicarse de manera efectiva verbal y escrita.
