Helping Hands Food Ko Op Inc

Helping Hands Food Ko-Op provides a week’s worth of nutritionally balanced kosher food to individuals and families in the community. We assist hard-working families by providing kosher food at significantly reduced cost and provide groceries for families in need free of charge.

Helping Hands Food Ko-Op helps more than 100 families each week; 200 families per week each Yom Tov (holidays) and 600 families for Passover.

We operate our program as an online grocery store. We sell most of the foods that a family needs at rock bottom prices by not charging them overhead costs. By keeping down costs many more families can afford all or most of their food. When families need additional help we cover part, or even all, of their monthly food bill on a case-by-case basis. 

For those families in extreme situations, we raise additional funds to help pay their utilities or housing expenses.

Helping Hands also offers a Lending Gemach to South Florida families needing financial assistance.   These loans are provided on a case-by-case basis and are interest-free loans. 

Now stronger together in fighting hunger, Helping Hands Food Ko-Op strives to be the one answer to our community’s food insecurity needs by providing nutritious kosher groceries. We believe that our model will improve overall access to healthy kosher food in a way that ensures kindness, dignity, and hope.
