Global Empowerment Mission

Since 2011, Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) has stood as a beacon of hope for communities affected by disasters. GEM’s objective is to deliver the most amount of aid, to the most amount of people in need, in the shortest amount of time, all with the least amount of costs to its donors. GEM’s dollar-to-impact multiplier ensures maximum effect in the communities served, with 97% of every dollar donated going to mission-related activities. 

In 2024, GEM was at the forefront of Florida’s disaster relief efforts, delivering swift, impactful support when it was needed most. Some of GEM’s 2024 Florida missions included:

• Hurricanes Helene & Milton: GEM was the first response team on the ground, establishing a distribution center in northern Florida to provide victims with relief aid along the Gulf Coast. GEM also collaborated with AirBNB.org to secure free short-term stays for displaced residents.

• Tornado Response: GEM mobilized to assist communities devastated by deadly tornadoes in Florida’s panhandle, delivering essential food, hygiene products, and rebuilding supplies.

• Local Community Impact: GEM has empowered local grass-roots organizations in South Florida by providing them with over $4 million worth of food & relief supplies for their own local community distributions.

To-date, GEM has delivered 225 full-size truck loads containing over $31 Million of humanitarian aid to communities in need across Florida in 2024. Through these distributions, GEM has been able to serve over 1.3 million Florida disaster victims this year.

● Preparedness Champions:$250+ a month provides a Family Necessities Kit to ten families.
