Who is Generation O?
We use the term Generation O to describe the generation of children born with prenatal opioid exposure during the ongoing opioid crisis. These children are often born with undetected brain injuries that change the structure and function of their developing brain systems.
We also use the term Generation O to describe this organization; a group of caregivers, from across the US, who are standing up to the pediatricians and governmental entities that tell us our children have not been harmed.
Our mission is to support the parents and caregivers of these challenging kids through education, resources and community. Additionally, we drive change in the medical community by promoting the evolving science around prenatal opioid exposure and its long-term effects on children.
Our mission is to offer unwavering support to individuals, families, and communities impacted by prenatal opioid and substance exposure. We extend our commitment beyond childhood, acknowledging potential challenges in adulthood. Our inclusive approach ensures support regardless of exposure circumstances or caregiving arrangements.
