Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library

A dollar given to the Friends is a dollar for the Miami-Dade Public Library.  Libraries are one of societies great equalizers.  We have services for every single member of our dynamic community - from loaning books, to after school tutoring, to teaching English as a second language. Some fun facts about our Library:

- Serves a population of almost two and a half million people

- Operates 50 branches plus two "bookmobiles" and a "Technobus"

- Has a collection of just under four million volumes

- Offers almost 1,500 computers for public use

- Has over one million registered users

- Lends almost seven million items per year

- Hosts almost seven million visitors per year

The Friends is an organization with a proud and distinguished history of supporting and advocating for the Library.
