Friends of Enchanted Forest NoMi otherwise known as FOEFN (otherwise pronounced "ForFun") is a fun loving, passionate group of citizens that hail from the city of North Miami and surrounding areas who love Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park.
This past year we've hosted gardening workshops with UF extension members, community chats with government and environmental groups who oversee waterway health, and a potluck for local organizations.
A high priority project is to engage volunteers in the battle to control invasive plant species such as air potato that have invaded the forest and impact the quality of the habitat. We have ongoing volunteer activities at the park that are great for nature lovers of all ages.

Mission
FOEFN is a non-profit organization. The purpose of FOEFN is to preserve, enhance, support, and promote Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park (“the Park”), a public park managed by the City of North Miami. FOEFN seeks to channel group energy and effort into the sustainability of the Park through volunteer and educational opportunities. FOEFN organizes events and projects aimed at involving members of the public (including children and youth) in sustaining the native habitat in the Park. Through these enriching and impactful events and projects, members of the public learn about the wonders and inter-connectedness of our native local ecosystem. FOEFN seeks to nurture a love of nature; to inspire a desire to volunteer; and to reveal the deep connection between human spirit and nature.
