Since its founding in 2008, the Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc. (FNEI) has been dedicated to supporting
Miami-Dade County Public School students by funding critical, educational, and innovative programs that would otherwise go unfunded. Through initiatives rooted in our three pillars—community, academics, and technology—we are making a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families.

This Give Miami Day we will be focusing on one of our key programs, the M-DCPS Marketplace, which distributed over 431,000 pounds of food, reaching more than 10,780 students and their families in 2023-2024 academic year. This program provides not just nourishment, but also a sense of security, ensuring they have access to essential resources like food, school uniforms, footwear, clothing and school supplies. This program is open to all 337,000 students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools and we are proud to not only serve our 9,621 students experiencing unstable housing but ALL of our students. 

Beyond the Marketplace, we are proud to offer a variety of other programs that empower students and enhance their educational experience. With your support, we can continue to serve and uplift our community.
