Since its establishment in the early 1980s as a civilian response to the challenges posed by the drug wars, Crime Stoppers has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving the South Florida community. Our core mission revolves around providing a safe and anonymous platform for members of the public to submit tips, thus contributing to the safety and security of our neighborhoods while impeding criminal activity.

With dedication to efficiency and effectiveness, we ensure that the funds we receive are allocated towards critical operational needs. These include facilitating tip submissions, providing rewards, offering victim support services, and disseminating crucial public safety information. These essential activities serve as the foundation of our organization's efforts and constitute the majority of our budget allocation.

Over the past 43 years, our impact has been substantial. We have processed over 155,136 anonymous tipster interactions, resulting in the approval of rewards totaling over $3,456,780  and the apprehension of 12,156 criminals. Our reach extends beyond our immediate service area, as we now serve over 3.2 million individuals across two counties and offer expertise to Crime Stoppers organizations in four other countries.

Crime Stoppers Miami serves approximately 44 law enforcement agencies in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties and provides tip-taking services round the clock. We actively promote cases through paid advertisements on social media platforms, including Facebook, Threads, Twitter, and Instagram. Reddit has recently been added to our array of social media channels. Additionally, Crime Stoppers actively supports law enforcement efforts by providing promotional materials, door hangers, and participating in various projects.

While our fiscal year operates on a July to June basis, the following statistics are provided on a calendar year basis:

The news media has consistently played a pivotal role in reporting and utilizing tip line numbers, amplifying our reach and impact.
