Community Arts And Culture

Incorporated in September 2002, Community Arts and Culture, Inc. (CAC) is a Miami-based non-profit organization that strives to intergenerationally celebrate and inspire the community through the cultivation, preservation, and presentation of cultural music and arts through music-based workshops, lectures and performances, and after school youth programming. CAC provides under-served areas of South Florida with an accessible platform to participate in Cultural Programs and Experiences. We cherish our South Florida traditions and believe that our past should inform our future and that bringing together diverse groups of people can create new approaches to cultural understanding. CAC believes that we have an obligation to the community to promote collaboration, engage unlikely allies, and encourage participation in the creative process.

CAC CELEBRATES ITS 22nd ANNIVERSARY SEASON & HAS PROUDLY PROVIDED:

· 26 years of the Afro Roots World Music Fest, one of the longest-running events of its kind. The festival has been staged at various locations throughout South Florida. Originally held at Tobacco Road, the event has become a regional affair spanning four counties, traveling from Gainesville to Islamorada and presenting various shows during the winter and spring. .

· 14 years of co-producing in-school arts experiences in partnership with La Fortuna, Roots in the Schools | GrassRoots Festival, and the Cultural Passport Series | Miami Dade County Public Schools.

· 5 Seasons of The Day at the Beach Concert Series, in partnership with the Rhythm Foundation, The School of Rock, Miami Beach High School Rock Ensemble, and Guitars Over Guns.

· 7 years of cultural programming in the Florida Keys
· 7 years of Dia de Los Muertos Celebrations
· 3 years of producing Miami Beach OnStage! events for the City of Miami Beach
· Cultural Reclamation and Equality
· Community Engagement and Social Enterprise
