It starts with Love. It follows with Help and Education. It ends with Change. We are a foster-based rescue founded about 2 years ago and currently caring for 9 adoptable dogs, including senior and special needs animals. We are run by volunteers and have no paid staff. We also run a community outreach program because we know that once an animal is neglected, abandoned on the streets, or surrendered, it is already too late. We want to strategically prevent and reduce animal neglect, abandonment, cruelty, and overpopulation in high-risk communities in Miami-Dade County. We have been actively involved in the community of West Perrine since July 2023. We support and educate owners who struggle to care for their pets due to a lack of financial resources and transportation, and we provide food and other services, including spaying and neutering. We are looking for partners and donors that will help us provide food and low-cost or free veterinary services in low-income areas where animals' health and lives are most at risk. Most of the stray and surrendered animals in our county come from underserved neighborhoods. That's where we need to help and provide localized and timely services. Our ultimate goal is to own and run a self-sustaining mobile clinic, and rotate it at least once a month to reach all economically and socially disadvantaged areas and provide low-cost or free basic care and spay and neuter services. We believe this is an initiative that will have the most beneficial and effective impact on the current animal welfare crisis that this county is experiencing. We have to act now to save lives and change the future!
