CHAP
Chabad Chayil offers award winning afterschool programming called CHAP for children across 6 Miami-Dade County public school children. Daily for ages 5 to 13 and weekly for middle and high school aged students. Although our core focus is Hebrew as a second language, we also focus on literacy, school homework, team building skills, art, physical health and their social & emotional growth. We combine a Zumba-style Israeli dance and fitness program & provide healthy snacks to make sure students stay healthy and in shape. 

CHAP has been rated the #1 afterschool program in Miami Dade County for 18 years in a row and plans to keep it on the top of the list as we expand our scope of services and enrollment. CHAP helps single parents and any parent needing to keep a job knowing that their children are in a safe, loving and productive environment while they are out providing for their families. Parents tell us that their children look forward to school, just to go to CHAP after school!

The Family Shul
The Family Shul is one of South Florida's most unique Synagogues - a popular center for Jews of all backgrounds who want to learn more about their Jewish roots. Located just west of Aventura, on the famous Highland Lakes Shul Row, The Family Shul offers a wide variety of educational and spiritual opportunities, including Torah classes and lectures, Shabbaton dinners, and an array of family and social activities. Traditional Jewish values are brought to life in a joyous, non-judgmental atmosphere. 
Once upon a time there was a shteeble: An informal place where every Jew was able to walk in and feel comfortable to worship unburdened by any outside issues. The only “strings attached” were those on the talit. The warmth of feeling compensated for the informality of the structure. We have recreated that feeling for community worship in a profound way. Why would a close-knit group of Jews from many walks of life choose to daven in this type of setting?

Imagine being granted the freedom to shed whatever label has been attached to the way you practice your religion. Those who attend our services, descend from a myriad of Jewish backgrounds. They observe Judaism in a multitude of ways, and navigate their individual spiritual pathways at assorted RPMs. Here you are welcomed, in fact encouraged, to ask questions and seek your own truths, and here you are implored to be as nonjudgmental of your neighbor as he or she is of you.
