Trauma is real but so is healing . . .

Why We Exist

Miami-Dade’s underserved communities face high levels of trauma from gun violence, abuse, and poverty—but barriers to care prevent healing. Your support with CEATT can change that, providing access to trauma-informed treatment for those who need it most.

Our Impact

In this past year, CEATT has:

  • Provided over 8,103 hours of trauma-focused therapy sessions to uninsured and underinsured Miami-Dade residents.
  • Over 91% of our clients return for continued care, and 89% of visits are from individuals committed to their healing journey.
  • Provided 358 sessions to uninsured and underinsured Miami-Dade residents.
  • At Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church, we reached 225 Haitian-Creole speaking community members with resilience-building skills, creating safe spaces for them to process trauma and find strength.
  • At Greater New Mt Zion AME Church, we facilitated a psycho-educational workshop for trauma survivors as part of its ongoing community engagement series.
  • Through our trauma-informed care training at schools like the SEED School of Miami and Somerset Prep Academy (Homestead) we are helping to transform classrooms into spaces where students can feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive.
  • At Overtown Youth Center, we facilitated workshops for leadership team members, aimed at addressing secondary trauma experienced by staff.
  • At the Trayvon Martin Foundation Peace Walk and Global Innovative Foundation Gun Violence Summit, we stood alongside survivors, offering them real, tangible support — because trauma recovery should be for everyone.

Imagine a world where trauma survivors have the tools to heal . . .

Our Goal for Give Miami Day

This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to expand our trauma-informed care services. Here’s what this funding can achieve:

  • 100 free therapy sessions for trauma survivors.
  • 6 community outreach events to bring resources directly to underserved neighborhoods.
  • 3 trauma workshops in local schools to equip students and staff with coping tools.
  • 4 virtual webinars on trauma recovery to reach those in need across Miami-Dade.
  • 3 mental health workshops at local churches to foster trauma-informed faith communities.

We cannot do this without you!

This Give Miami Day, your support can help us expand our reach and deepen our impact. Every contribution brings us closer to a Miami-Dade where no one is left to struggle alone with the weight of trauma. Help us bring hope, healing, and support to those who need it most. Together, we can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

Thank you for being a CEATT Champion!
