Books for You Miami Corp

Books For You Miami Web Books For You is a non-profit organization founded by Alejandro Barriga in March 2020. The organization's goal is to redistribute used or new books and educational materials completely free to communities, schools, or organizations in need at the local, state, and international levels. This initiative arose from the realization that many children, especially those from immigrant, Hispanic, and African American communities, lack access to educational materials that could enhance their current situation.

Books for You Miami has donated to large organizations, schools, and communities at the local and state levels. They have also made international donations to communities, schools, and organizations, impacting over 200,000 people locally and internationally. The organization has over 200 volunteers in Miami, Doral, North Miami, and South Miami who have assisted in maintaining the organization's logistics.

We want to share with you the importance of your support on this Give Miami Day. In our foundation, we are committed to bringing education and necessary resources to communities in Miami, Broward, and beyond. However, the logistics of transporting books and other resources are costly, significantly increasing our operational expenses. Your generosity will allow us to mobilize more effectively and extend our reach to underserved communities in our area and abroad.

We want to stress that, from the foundation, we are committed to making a lasting impact on every child we reach, planting the seed of curiosity for reading and providing the basic tools for their education. Books For You Miami believes that education is a right, not a privilege. However, the logistics of transporting books and other resources are costly, significantly increasing our operational expenses. Currently, we have numerous communities abroad eagerly awaiting our donations, but unfortunately, due to a lack of funds for operational costs, we are forced to put these donations on hold until we can find a sponsor to cover these expenses. Without your support, we find ourselves in the challenging position of being unable to send these donations and, consequently, unable to achieve our goal of helping these needy communities. Your contribution will make a significant difference in our ability to fulfill our mission and make a positive impact in the lives of every child, offering them a future full of opportunities through education.
