Who We Are

Arts Access Miami is a coalition of ten music and arts nonprofit organizations in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Our goal is to ensure that every young person has access to consistent, high-quality, and transformative music and arts education programming.

How We Started

Arts Access began with the idea, “What would it take to provide every child with access to free, high-quality music and arts education?” Initially launched in 2020 as the Miami Gardens Music Alliance (MGMA), Arts Access Miami (AAM) has evolved into a successful formalized strategic coalition that encompasses multiple organizations and neighborhoods, dedicated to collective impact in closing gaps in access to music and arts education for every child.

Arts Access Miami brings layered and cohesive music and arts education through collaboration among organizations, guaranteeing interconnected complementary programs accessible in-school and after school for students in grades K-12. This initiative ensures that all children in a whole community gain access to free, high-quality music and arts programs, positively impacting students’ social-emotional development and academic performance.

AAM currently impacts 10,400+ students every week across 38 schools + sites in The Miami Gardens and South Dade neighborhoods.

Where We Are Going

Over the next four years, Arts Access Miami hopes to invest over $25 million into sustaining our programming in the Miami Gardens and South Dade Feeder Patterns and expanding across the rest of the county - our final vision is to have a presence across all Miami-Dade County by 2028 through 5 alliances which guarantee access to free music anarts education to over 70,000 students.
