Our company was founded in 1995, where the presiding (Bishop) Jerry Wimberly and the late Evangelist Bernice Wimberly decided to serve the community by establishing an Early childcare center. While continuing the service as pastoral leaders in the faith community and the visionaries of Step Above Academy, God intended for them to share moral teachings for humanity, and to help set the foundation for the younger generation by instilling a moral compass in each in and every child. Gradually as we continue to grow as early childcare educators, we have developed the skills and experience to create a high-quality center and provide an inclusive atmosphere to all children. We are now partnering with the ELC (Early Learning Coalition) as an Early Head Center and have goals in place to become great educators for the future generation. We provide every child with social and emotional skills, while tracking their developmental growth by using several assessment tools. Our teachers are trained quarterly through trained professionals, intrigued on gaining more knowledge to give every child a chance to socially connect with others, and improve all life skills.

Step Above Academy, a Florida based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has served many children throughout south Florida for decades. We have helped rebuild families and boost children's developmental milestones, while allowing them to express and regain self-control, increasing their confidence on all levels.
