Alliance of Mercy Inc

Alliance of Mercy ("Aliança de Misericórdia" in original Portuguese) is a Civil Society Organization (OSC) of a philanthropic nature, which was created in 2000 in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, with the initial objective of assisting the homeless population living in the streets of the city center, providing emergency and basic services, like food and shelter, without leaving aside Christian spiritual care.

Our mission is to be a living expression of the merciful love that springs from the heart of God, carrying out actions that transform the materially and spiritually poorest into human beings fully restored in their dignity.

Over the years, the founders, employees and volunteers realized that the target audience's demand was more complex and required much more efforts.

Faced with this reality, Alliance of Mercy gradually expanded its services and created several new projects year by year that had the capacity to meet the demands of the population in extreme vulnerability in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Ceará and Amazonas, reaching 46 cities in Brazil, and also has projects in Africa (Mozambique) and Central America (Venezuela).

The activities and actions carried out have welfare, socio-educational, sports and cultural purposes, aiming at the integral formation of the person at a human, spiritual and social level, and the growth of each individual as a whole, in an inclusive and loving environment.

The efforts in Brazil are carried out with the help of public and private partnerships, sporadic donations, contributing members and volunteers, and all of them happen from this network action, in which each contribution makes possible the transformation and rescue of so many lives.

Alliance of Mercy began operating in the United States in 2022, in the Miami region, in partnership with other organizations that also provide similar services to the homeless and socially vulnerable population. 

Here in the United States, we still depend exclusively on private donations and rely only on the help of members and volunteers, who are still too few for all that needs to be done. Come and be part of this team, whether by donating once or becoming a monthly donor, by participating in fundraising events or volunteering to help. 

We know that we are a drop in the ocean, but this drop will certainly make a difference in the lives of many people.
