Tropical Audubon Society endeavors to conserve and restore natural South Florida ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats through advocacy and education for the benefit of biological diversity and humanity itself. Tropical Audubon Society facilitates its Mission via: CONSERVATION: Protect native plants, indigenous species and the environment by promoting wise stewardship of natural resources. EDUCATION: Cultivate understanding and appreciation of Nature, the environment and ecological relationships. HISTORIC PRESERVATION: Maintain the Doc Thomas House in accordance with its charter designation, Miami-Dade County Heritage status, and U.S National Register of Historic Places status. ENJOYMENT: Bring together those with shared interests for outings and events that showcase our natural surroundings and treasured South Florida habitats.
