ICU baby

ICU baby is a Miami based non-profit organization with the mission to support families with a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). -ICU baby was founded in 2014 in an effort to eliminate financial and psychological barriers that would prevent parents from visiting their baby in the NICU. -ICU baby currently has programs in the NICUs of Holtz Children's Hospital at UM/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and Baptist Health System's South Miami Hospital. -The organization's primary programs include The NICU Pack Project, Suppers of Support and in-hospital Parent-to-Parent Support. -ICU baby has also launched a pilot Transportation Assistance Program at Holtz Children's Hospital. Benefits distributed through this program serve our community's low income level families; however, ICU baby's other programs support all NICU families regardless of financial well being. ICU baby volunteers have logged over 800 in-hospital volunteer hours and have provided tangible benefits to over 1200 NICU families. The five year goal of the organization is to have impactful programs in our community's three largest NICUs.
