Homestead Center for the Arts (HCA) is a non-profit, umbrella organization established in 1977 to help promote community-based art and cultural programming. Sample Affiliate members that provide a range of opportunities to experience arts, culture, and our unique environment are Children’s Art Gallery, Art for Good, East Everglades Orchids Society, Entre Nosotras Foundation, Expressions Dance Company, Homestead Art Club, Homestead Community Concerts, Homestead Town Hall Museum, the Lamplighters Writers Group, Main Street Homestead, Pioneer Museum, the Seminole Theatre, South Dade Community Choir, South Florida National Parks Camera Club, South Florida Woodturners Guild, and What If Works Theater and Film. HCA provides a platform for outreach, offers affiliate organization training (grants and finances), oversees a county annual targeted grant and awards an annual student art scholarship. HCA members enjoy free organization events such as the Music Series (MuSe) evenings of different genres of music, and the Bea Pesko series, formerly lunchtime lectures now repurposed as promotion of artist gallery exhibitions and art club sponsorship.
