In 1939, the Club founded the Coral Gables Children's Dental Clinic for underprivileged children. It is located in our clubhouse and is the primary beneficiary of our fund-raising efforts. The sole purpose of this dental clinic is to provide free dental care for needy school-age children in Miami- Dade County. These children, whose parents work hard, but cannot afford costly dental care and are often ineligible for public health programs. Patients are referred to our clinic by school personnel, social workers, the United Way, community religious organizations, and parents who have been made aware of these benefits through our community outreach programs. Our volunteer caseworkers interview applicants and determine their eligibility.
