Dade Legal Aid "Put Something Back" Pro Bono Project

Dade Legal Aid is the premier pro bono law firm in South Florida dedicated to providing direct representation and a safety net of critical civil legal services to multi-generational low income children, individuals, families, newcomers, nonprofits and start ups in need. Since 1949, dedicated staff and pro bono attorneys have served the unmet needs of disadvantaged residents in the areas of family law, children's legal services, foster youth and teen advocacy, domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, human sex trafficking, name change, guardianship, housing, probate, immigration, bankruptcy, collection, tax, real estate, foreclosure defense, disaster relief and non profit incorporation. Through Put Something Back Pro Bono Project volunteer lawyers seeking to help bridge the justice gap, ranging from solo practitioners to corporate counsel to large law firm participants, are able to easily access and receive pre-screened available pro bono cases. The program relies on attorney volunteers, law firm sponsors and monetary donations in order to handle thousands of cases annually through PSB which collaborates with the Court and bar association to recruit, train, support and sustain pro bono attorneys representing income eligible clients in need in all areas of law.
