Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department (Animal Services) is a life-saving agency that provides refuge and care for about 15,000 lost, abandoned, or neglected dogs and cats annually. Since 2015, Animal Services has saved the lives of over 90% of the pets that come into the shelter. Every day, our staff works diligently to find life-long homes for these abandoned animals by facilitating adoptions, working collaboratively with rescue organizations, and engaging with the community. As Animal Services takes on the national overpopulation crisis it needs more resources than ever to bring quality care to our shelter pets that are spending more time living in the shelter as compared to past years.
Animal Services is asking for your donation to address the current overpopulation crisis. Your contribution will bring more enrichment to our shelter pets, allow for more off-site adoption events, and help Animal Services expand Spay & Neuter services throughout the county.
Some of our additional lifesaving programs and services include,
Everything we do is to serve our community and to make Miami-Dade County a better place for animals and the people who love them. We hope you will consider joining our efforts today.
Our mission is to save the lives of abandoned animals in our care, protect animals from cruelty, reunite lost pets with their owners, protect people and pets in our community from health-related issues and ensure the public's safety.
