Fountainhead Residency is an international artists' residency in Miami, FL that empowers artists to build a sustainable career and cultivates new audiences for the arts. Operating year-round, Fountainhead hosts three to four visiting artists each month. To date, over 500 artists from 47 countries have taken part in the residency.

Fountainhead Studios, located in Little Haiti, provides Miami-based artists working in all mediums with affordable and flexible raw studio space outside of the public eye. More than just studio space, we provide a community for a profession that is often solitary. Currently, there are more than 30 artists working at the Studios.

Artists Open, Miami-Dade's first and only countywide Open Studios event, launched in 2018 thanks to generous funding provided by the Knight Foundation. Over 300 artists open their studios to the public, with studio spaces located as far north as North Miami, east to Miami Beach, west to Doral and Hialeah and south to Homestead.

Fountainhead Residency's Open House, hosted at the end of each month, invites guests to meet each month's visiting artists, learn about their experience in Miami and see the work they've made. In addition, Fountainhead hosts a number of experience driven artist-led programs throughout the year, including a bi-annual Open Studios event at Fountainhead Studios and Artists Open.

Mission

Fountainhead's mission is to elevate the voices, visibility and value of artists in our society and make their work accessible to a global community. Harnessing the power in our diversity, Fountainhead is building a more equitable and inclusive future, one personal connection at a time.
