Albizu University is a private, independent, non-profit institution of higher education. It is considered a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) by the U.S. Department of Education. The Miami Campus is in the City of Doral in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and licensed by the Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education.

Albizu University offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees and certificate programs in psychology, speech and language, education, ESOL, criminal justice, and human services. The University's doctoral program in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). The master's program in speech and language pathology is accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
